For casual and social rounds, yes — use it freely. In tournament play it's different: under the Rules of Golf, getting advice on club selection or reading wind and slope during a competition isn't allowed unless the committee's local rules say otherwise. The fix is simple — lean on it on the range and in practice rounds to build your own feel, then leave the phone in the bag when it counts. Distance-only rangefinders are usually fine in competition; advice on how to play the shot is the part that's restricted.
You describe the shot in plain words — distance, lie, wind, how the ball's sitting — and the AI works it the way a good caddie would: adjusting the playing yardage for wind and slope, factoring the lie, and handing you a club plus how to play it and the one miss to avoid. It reads what you tell it. The more detail you give, the sharper the read — but even a rough description gets you a real answer.
Not yet — and we'd rather be straight with you than fake it. Plenty of "AI golf" tools show slick swing-video graphics that don't actually do much. What we do is real: describe your miss and get the likely cause, a drill, and a feel to take to the range. You can also send a photo of your grip, stance, or a tricky lie and get feedback on what's actually visible. Full swing-video analysis is a much harder problem — when we ship it, it'll work, not just look good.
